I’m so happy to reach an artist early in their career, I can’t even tell you. Less time wasted = more music connections ❤️

Love it. I touched a little on the same with my post today. Its about a connection. We can never guess what might make something go viral or what the next algorithm might push us. Be yourself and connect to "your people." https://houstonhangout.substack.com/p/the-death-of-shared-pop-culture-why?r=y1a5

Email list is so important! It's a direct line to your fans. I would suggest going through your list subscribers every couple of months and removing people who don't open/read your newsletter. This will help keep your emails out of spam folders and increase your open %.

So many ways to optimize email! My favorite method is to organize geographically!

I've been using ReverbNation for years. It does the trick. Nothing fancy.

I used gmass for years when I was a publicist. I’ve also liked Kalvio, but if your list is small, gmail is honestly killer

I’m a little over 200, just been thinking about trying something new that might offer some analytics that would be useful for things I’m not really able to track with the current setup

I would follow Seth Werkheiser/Social Media Escape Club. I’m tapping him to help design my email marketing course later in the year.

Hey guys! I want to share a conceptual electronic music album I made. It has over 200 samples to create this wide collage of sound, to create this narrarive.

With one of the bands I play, I’m trying to setup a direct group message thing using Whatsapp (everyone uses it here in Europe). Ask for permission to add people and be super, super personal. Use the excuse that we’re between albums and writing new music to make them part of the process, with simple phone videos, personal message to specific people, etc.

I love this - thank you!! I was doing something similar to this for my business, and realized how about 90% of my clients come from 5 people/businesses and to continue to focus on nurturing those people the most. It's so hopeful how this applies as an artist too!
